Bank tries again after auction flop

After Wednesday's auction flop, the Bank of England has announced the dates of its next two auctions of gilt-edged stock. It will sell a stock in the 2014-2016 maturity range on 25 October and stock in the 2005-2007 range on 6 December. Details will be announced on 17 October and 29 November, the morning after the Budget.
