Aboy aged 12 appeared in court on the Isle of Wight accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.

The case is believed to be first since the law was changed in September allowing a child under the age of 14 to be charged with rape. The incident, at Cowes, is alleged to have happened on Tuesday. The boy was remanded on bail until 23 February.
