POLICE searching for the missing computer operator Kirsty Carver yesterday found the body of a woman on the remote Spurn Point area of east Yorkshire.

Inspector Steve Love, of Humberside police, said the identity of the woman had not yet been established but that Ms Carver's parents had been informed.

A man was still being questioned last night about the disappearance of 22-year-old Ms Carver, who went missing a month ago. The 23-year-old man works at a petrol station in Willerby, Hull, half-a-mile from the spot where Ms Carver's car was found, with the keys in the ignition, early on 5 March.
