Sunbed users who refuse to wear protective goggles may be at risk of eye disease, doctors from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, have warned. They report in the Lancet that some sunbed lamps emit ultra-violet radiation of an intensity which can lead to inflamation of the cornea if goggles are not used.
