German MPs have demanded that the government end the uncertainty over the legality of circumcising young boys.
A broad majority voted in favour of a resolution yesterday calling for a law permitting "medically correct circumcision," after a court in Cologne concluded that it amounts to bodily harm. That led to the German Medical Association controversially recommending doctors cease performing the operation.
