Adele has praised the self-help guru author Glennon Doyle for enabling her to “truly let go” during a difficult time.

Writing on Instagram, the award-winning singer explained how Doyle’s book, Untamed: Stop pleasing, start living, transformed her outlook on life.

“This book will shake your brain and make your soul scream,” Adele wrote underneath a photograph of the book’s cover.

“I am so ready for myself after reading this book!” she continued.

“It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time.”

The 32-year-old continued: “Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life – Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it.

“We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot! .. ‘A good life is a hard life!’”

The “Someone Like You” singer encouraged people to read the book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes so they can refer back to it.

“I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!!” she added.

“Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!! I thought we were meant to be stressed and dishevelled, confused and selfless like a Disney character!”

Adele concluded her post by calling Doyle an “absolute don”.

Doyle replied to the singer in the comments below, writing: “I love you, my soul sister. Thank you for this. You are the ultimate goddamn cheetah. Love, Hope, Sisterhood- Glennon.”

Many other famous faces commented on Adele’s post, also taking the opportunity to praise Doyle’s work.

“Such a great book!” wrote Laura Whitmore.

Meanwhile, the gossip columnist Perez Hilton thanked Adele for the recommendation.

Doyle is known for her New York Times bestselling books, Love Warrior, and Carry On, Warrior.

She is also the founder of Together Rising, an all-women led nonprofit organisation that has raised more than $20 million (£15 million) for women, families and children in crisis.
