DETAILS No 334

In which painting by which painter can you find this bottom?

Details 332 came from Domenico Ghirlandaio's lovable Portrait of an Old Man with a Child (1480s). Who the old man was is no longer known, though presumably he was very easily identifiable at the time. The picture is in the Louvre.

The first three correct answers drawn from the hat were from: Paul Cousins of St Helens, Lancs; Penny Jones of Lewes, E Sussex; and Veronica Hall of London SW10.

Each will, in due course, receive a bottle of champagne, as will the winners of this week's competition. Answers on a postcard (to reach us by 7 May, please) to: DETAILS 334, Independent on Sunday, 1 Canada Sq, London E14 5DL.
