David “Dodge” Pentek, a Lance-Bombardier in the Royal Horse Artillery, and Andrew “Gibbo” Gibson, a Sergeant in the Queen’s Royal Hussars, documented their escape from an elevator, which jammed three stories up in a holiday complex in Hungary six years ago. They posted their The Day We Got Stuck In the Lift video on YouTube and Bafta award-winning director Ben Chanan spotted the pair.

Now the two soldiers will be the new stars of Channel's 5 new drama-documentary Blackout.
