Guitar heroes can really learn to rock

All those hours spent perfecting your technique in ‘Rock Band’ and ‘Guitar Hero’ don’t, I’m afraid, add up to any real finger-picking skills.

But that could change later this year, with the autumn release of the Power Gig, a music game controller that looks like a guitar, has strings like a guitar and is, actually, a guitar. To score in-game, your fingers need to be in the right place to actually play the corresponding notes or chords. Guitar lessons might get a whole lot more fun.
