As action RPGs go, Rise of the Argonauts, inspired

by the legend of King Jason’s quest to find the

golden fleece, is a bit on the slowside, thanks to

the extremely long-winded dialogue that bogs

down the whole affair unforgivably. After a shaky

start, things soon settle down once the combat

kicks off and Jason has an arsenal of spears,

swords and shields at his disposal. Fighting is

simple to pick up, switching weapons is a breeze,

and you can improve your abilities by sucking up

to various deities. There’s a great game here

struggling to get out.
