Chelsea defeated LAFC 2-0 in their Club World Cup campaign opener in Atlanta, with goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez.
The match was played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a low attendance of 22,137, despite the venue's 71,000 capacity.
Pedro Neto scored in the 34th minute, capitalising on a pass from Nicolas Jackson to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead.
Liam Delap, a new signing, assisted Enzo Fernandez's goal in the 79th minute, sealing the victory for Chelsea.
