- The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered on rocks below cliffs at Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire.
- A member of the public reported the discovery to North Yorkshire Police at 7:16 PM on Wednesday evening.
- Emergency services, including the Coastguard and a helicopter, recovered the bodies by 8:24 PM due to the incoming tide.
- Paramedics confirmed the deaths at the scene, and the bodies were subsequently taken to hospital by ambulance.
- Police are currently working to trace the next of kin and are investigating the circumstances of the deaths for a coroner’s report.
