Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will likely be discharged from hospital later this week following a car crash in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Saturday night.
He sustained a fractured spine and multiple lacerations, though his injuries are not life-threatening.
Prior to the crash, Giuliani had stopped to assist with a domestic violence incident that was unfolding nearby.
His head of security Michael Ragusa confirmed Giuliani's condition is improving and he is “eager to return to business”.
“This is a man who survived 9/11 — so a little car accident won’t be slowing him down,” Ragusa said.
