Flight tracker captures moment two Delta planes crash while taxiing on runway at LaGuardia Airport
Two Delta Air Lines planes, operated by subsidiary Endeavor Air, were involved in a low-speed collision on a taxiway at LaGuardia Airport in New York on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Eastern Time between Endeavor Air Flight 5047, arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina, and Endeavor Flight 5155, scheduled to depart for Roanoke, Virginia.
A flight attendant sustained a knee injury in the collision and was taken to hospital after receiving treatment at the scene.
Audio from the pilot of Flight 5047 indicated that one plane's right wing clipped the other's nose and cockpit windscreens.
There were 32 people on board Flight 5155 and 61 people on Flight 5047, but the Port Authority confirmed there was no impact on overall airport operations.
