  • A new study reveals that patients suffering from Long Covid experience long-term fatigue, brain fog, and breathlessness, severely reducing their quality of life.
  • The research indicates that the impact on daily life for Long Covid sufferers is comparable to levels seen in individuals with Parkinson's disease or stroke survivors.
  • Published in the Australian Journal of Primary Health, the study assessed 121 adults diagnosed with Long Covid between 2020 and mid-2022.
  • Participants reported "clinically significant disability and participation limitations in daily activities," with 86 per cent struggling with tasks they once took for granted.
  • Researchers are calling for increased efforts to support Long Covid patients, emphasising the need for targeted rehabilitation and support services.
