  • Hundreds of protesters marched through Nuneaton town centre against asylum hotels and houses of multiple occupation.
  • The protest followed charges against two men, Ahmad Mulakhil and Mohammad Kabir, in connection with the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.
  • Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch claimed a "cover-up" regarding details of the alleged rape, a claim denied by Warwickshire Police.
  • The demonstration, which saw protesters significantly outnumbering Stand Up to Racism counter-protesters, was met with a large police presence.
  • Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has called for greater transparency from police regarding details of suspects, while Nigel Farage suggested their immigration status should be disclosed.
