Two men, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, were killed in a terror attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall, Manchester.
The attack occurred on Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest day, when Jihad Al-Shamie drove into a group of people before stabbing a man.
Al-Shamie, 35, a British citizen not previously known to security services, was shot dead by police seven minutes after the incident.
Three other individuals remain in hospital with serious injuries, and three people have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terror attack.
Greater Manchester Police have increased their visible presence in Jewish communities across North Manchester, Bury, and Salford to provide reassurance.
