David Lammy, the Foreign Secretary, condemned Israel’s missile strike on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, expressing horror at the attack.
The strike resulted in at least 20 fatalities, including five journalists from outlets such as Independent Arabia, The Associated Press, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and Middle East Eye.
The attack reportedly involved an initial missile hit on a hospital building, followed by a second strike after journalists and rescuers had arrived at the scene.
Mr Lammy called for the protection of civilians, healthcare workers, and journalists, urging an immediate ceasefire in the region.
The Israeli military stated it was investigating the incident and regretted any harm to uninvolved individuals, while Donald Trump also expressed unhappiness about the attack.
