  • Irn-Bru manufacturer AG Barr announced a boost in sales and profits, attributing the positive performance to price adjustments implemented earlier in the year.
  • The Scottish beverage firm reported revenues climbed by 3.1 per cent to £228.1 million and pre-tax profits jumped by 41.4 per cent to £35.2 million for the 26 weeks ending 26 July.
  • Strong demand for sports drinks, energy drinks, and water, including double-digit growth for its Boost energy drink brand, underpinned this financial growth.
  • Chief executive Euan Sutherland stated the business is making 'good progress' in positioning itself for sustained future growth, investing in brands, operations, and people.
  • AG Barr is also expanding into health-focused functional drinks, highlighted by its recent deal to acquire a majority stake in Innate-Essence Ltd, parent company of The Turmeric Co.
