Apple users complain of major issue with new iPhones

  • Customers shared images and videos on social media showing superficial damage, particularly affecting the black iPhone Air and blue iPhone Pro and Pro Max.
  • The issue is linked to the coloured aluminium oxide layer used in these models, differing from the titanium chassis of previous versions.
  • A video by popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything demonstrated the ease with which the blue and orange iPhone 17 Pro phones sustained cosmetic damage.
  • This contradicts Apple's earlier claim that a new ceramic shield on the Pro versions would make them three times more scratch-resistant.
