Apple users complain of major issue with new iPhones
The iPhone 17 comes with an improved camera and advanced screen tech
New iPhone 17 models, including the Air, Pro, and Pro Max, have been dubbed 'scratch magnets' by users shortly after their release.
Customers shared images and videos on social media showing superficial damage, particularly affecting the black iPhone Air and blue iPhone Pro and Pro Max.
The issue is linked to the coloured aluminium oxide layer used in these models, differing from the titanium chassis of previous versions.
A video by popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything demonstrated the ease with which the blue and orange iPhone 17 Pro phones sustained cosmetic damage.
This contradicts Apple's earlier claim that a new ceramic shield on the Pro versions would make them three times more scratch-resistant.
