How a pop band is taking aim at the rising cost of living
Only The Poets perform 'Looking At You' for Music Box session
Pop band Only the Poets have announced they will charge just £1 per ticket for their headline show at Brixton Academy in London.
The initiative aims to make live music accessible to everyone, especially amid the rising cost of living and high ticket prices.
The band is supported by the LIVE Trust, Brixton Academy, and Ticketmaster, all of which have lowered their usual rates to facilitate the affordable pricing.
The concert is scheduled for 2 February 2026, following the release of the band’s debut album, And I’d Do It Again, on 30 January.
Tickets, priced at £1 plus additional fees for venue restoration, Ticketmaster, and the LIVE Trust donation, will be available from 10am on 10 September.
