- He denied that his withdrawal was related to the involvement of Israeli contestant Yuval Raphael, reiterating his busy schedule as the sole reason.
- Gatwa also discussed his departure from Doctor Who, explaining that the role was physically and mentally strenuous, leading him to decide it was "time" to leave.
- He is set to appear in the West End play "Born with Teeth" and the comedy film "The Roses" in August.
