  • Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins, will not return for the second season of HBO Max's medical drama The Pitt, a decision made by the show's creative team.
  • Ifeachor's character, a senior resident, appeared in the first 11 episodes of season one, where she was undergoing IVF and had a past relationship with series lead Dr. Robby.
  • Sepideh Moafi is set to join the cast as a new series regular, playing an attending physician, with most other main cast members reprising their roles for the season, which premieres in January 2026.
  • The acclaimed series, created by R. Scott Gemmill and executive produced by John Wells and Noah Wyle, is currently facing a lawsuit from the estate of ER creator Michael Crichton.
  • The lawsuit alleges that The Pitt is an unauthorised reboot of ER, accusing Wells and Wyle of "personal betrayal," though Warner Bros. Television has dismissed the claims as "baseless."
