Stephen Colbert destroys Trump Jr's sexual harassment tweet: ‘Are you insane?’
'Hypothetical question? Can my two year old get in trouble for sexual harassment for asking his teacher to come to his place naked after school?' US president's son asks in old tweet
It would be fair to say Donald Trump Jr is not famed for his Twitter prowess. The president’s eldest son has penned a veritable plethora of tweets which have had the Twittersphere up in arms or led to him being mercilessly mocked.
In light of this, it should come as no surprise that Stephen Colbert has lampooned Trump Jnr for an old tweet about sexual harassment which he wrote in 2011.
“Hypothetical question? Can my two year old get in trouble for sexual harassment for asking his teacher to come to his place naked after school?” the younger Trump asked.
The comedian, who hosts The Late Show, dealt him an acerbic response, asking: “Non-hypothetical question: are you insane?”
The younger Trump, who is an executive of the Trump administration, has yet to respond to the comedian.
Trump Jr, whose friends call him the “Fifth Avenue Redneck” because of his penchant for hunting, has made a number of Twitter blunders over the years.

The president's son encouraged his 2.2 million Twitter followers to go out and vote on Wednesday despite the fact the greatly anticipated race took place on Tuesday.
Colbert joked about the incident in his opening monologue, saying: “Donald Jr woke up this morning to urge people to get the vote out but maybe he should have waited until he’d had his morning cup of hair gel.”
He added: “The election was today, and not tomorrow, #whoopsadaisy, #turnsoutEricisthesmartone”.
Last month, Trump Jr was mocked for saying he would teach his daughter Chloe about socialism by taking away some of her Halloween sweets. The tweet had amassed over 50,000 replies within hours, with many pointing out that he was not describing socialism but was referring to sharing - an activity the majority of children are taught to do.

Other bizarre tweets he has composed over the years include one which said “Apparently Colorado's legalised weed is a lot better than Washington's?!?! This needs further study” back in February 2014.
“If you're a boob guy this whole lactation thing is amazing the sports bra the wife is wearing is losing the containment battle!!!” he said in 2011 in a since deleted tweet.
