An actor who has appeared on The Walking Dead has been jailed after abusing a British viewer he met at a horror convention.

Michael Mundy, 52, started a relationship with Beverly Jackson, 41, after flying to the UK for a fan event in 2012.

But after a few years, she says their interactions became abusive and that Mundy attacked her in a hotel room in Germany in 2018.

“He hit me around the face, bit me on the hands, arm and back, kicked me and threw me out of the room,” Jackson told The Sun.

Mundy was sent to jail in November 2019 after being convicted of assault and was handed a restraining order, which prevents him from going near Jackson.

However, after leaving prison, he was recalled to HM Prison Liverpool for breaking the rules of the ban.

Mundy has played numerous zombies on the hit US series, and is the first one seen in the show’s third season, which was first broadcast in 2012.

Jackson, who is from Liverpool, said: “I fell for him. Initially he was very charming and promised to help me get into films. But he became more and more abusive.”
