They promised “the best Jayhawksalbum ever” (surely still HollywoodTown Hall), so you’d be forgiven foran initial sense of disappointment atGary Louris and Mark Olson’s firstJayhawks effort since 1995. By thetime the pair’s harmonies hit thebridge of “Tiny Arrows”, though, you’llremember why these alt.countrypioneers were so revered in the firstplace. Equal parts Byrds, Beatlesand Burritos, this kicks away thecobwebs nicely.
