Sir: Contrary to Sarah Fry's assertion (letter, 1 July), the thought of emasculation has never entered the head of this non-chauvinistic male, and so I have always been prepared, when necessary, to ask the way. But will I now face the loss of my masculinity and the esteem of my peers, if I confess that I prefer to drive with my wife at my side, as her navigational and map-reading skills are infinitely greater than my own?
