Sir: Thank you for "Government makes a homework howler" (13 December). I am in the middle of teaching percentages to my third year. I gave them a copy of the article and we had a laugh at the Government's expense. As a result they all seemed to be happy with similar problems. Perhaps the leaflet wasn't totally useless after all.
