Sir: I am amazed by your headline, "Farmers flouted BSE safety rules" (13 October). Farmers have never had any control over the contents of the protein supplements supplied by feed merchants; indeed the content analysis was never made available to them. These are things that the Ministry should have been monitoring. They have let everyone down, especially farmers.
