Gardening: Cuttings

NEWS FROM THE GARDENER'S WORLD

IT IS hard not to feel overwhelmed by the inexorably mounting numbers of mail-order catalogues that arrive in the post at this time of year. A good proportion of the charitable ones will include at least some gardening items, but there are also some more specialist horticultural charity brochures, which offer a range of Christmas cards and potential gifts. If you can bear to add to the number you already have, I suggest you call to ask for those issued by the Royal Horticultural Society (0870 6066366); and the Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Fund (01372 373962). For a wide range of gardening equipment, furniture and knick-knacks, together with Christmas gifts for the horticulturally obsessed, you may like to try the Traditional Garden Supply (0870 6007788).
