This quirky British road movie has been advertised as coming from the director of The Mighty Boosh, but its dreariness only proves that it’s the writing and performing that make the Boosh who they are.
Still, the film’s visuals are promisingly distinctive. The gimmick is that the agoraphobic hero (Edward Hogg) is remembering a European holiday, and in his memory the places he visited are built from newspapers, takeaway boxes and whatever else is lying around his flat.
