SINCE MANCHESTER United's unprecedented treble, English football is on a high. Can that be translated to the national team for England vs Sweden (2pm Sky Sports 2), today's crucial Euro 2000 qualifier at Wembley? Kevin Keegan, newly installed as manager, will have been underlining to his side that they really have to win this one if they want to harbour any hopes of progressing to the finals in Holland and Belgium next year. But Sweden have already won their home match between these two countries.

Sigourney Weaver's most famous role is as Ripley (right), the indomitable space traveller in this highly successful Alien cycle. In the fourth film of the series, Alien Resurrection (10pm Sky Premier), receiving its satellite premiere tonight, Ripley is cloned and is reawakened in a body containing mutant DNA.
