Letter: Confusion over two lyrical noses

Sir: Graham Finch (letter, 25 January) is strangely confused. The Bobby and Cecil Womack song with the line 'She hurt my nose open, that's no lie', is of course, 'It's All Over Now', with which the Rolling Stones had a No 1 hit (if memory serves) in about 1965. The line 'She blew my nose and then she blew my mind' is from the Jagger-Richards composition 'Honky Tonk Woman', recorded somewhat subsequently.

Sorry to be so vague about the dates, but as Fairport Convention so memorably sang it: 'Who nose where the time goes?'

Yours faithfully,

TONY WALTON
