The draw for the third round of the CIS Insurance Cup, formerly the Scottish League Cup, will take place on Sunday 22 August at around 5pm, televised on Scottish TV. The ties will be played on 12-13 October.

Rangers' Champions League clash with Parma in Italy next Wednesday will be screened live on Channel Five. The Ibrox club hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

Charlton have appointed Wendy Perfect as the club's first woman director. Perfect, who works part-time for Charlton Athletic Supporters' Club, must now wait for formal approval from the club's board at their next meeting.

Monaco's Chadian international Japhet N'Doram, out of action for most of the last two seasons with a knee injury, has decided to end to his career after doctors told the 33-year-old striker that his knee would never fully recover. N'Doram was voted second best African footballer of the year in 1995 behind Liberian George Weah.
