Just as Britain was announcing its three-boat team for this year's Admiral's Cup, the Royal Ocean Racing Club has put finishing touches for the 1995 and 1997 formats which will introduce three different sizes of boat under the developing International Measurement System, writes Stuart Alexander.
The 1993 team, led by Graham Walker's 50-footer Indulgence, will be made up by two chartered Turkish boats - the 45- foot two-tonUnibank and the 40- foot one-ton Orient Express, formerly Port Pendennis.
In 1995 the small boat will be reduced to about 36 feet. It will be a production boat and, if it is named after the sponsor, will be a Mumm 36.
