BRAZIL are the world champions and they are the favourites to retain their crown this year - but their coach, Mario Zagallo, is under pressure.
Despite the fact that a virtual shadow squad was sent to the tournament, Brazil's poor performance in the Concacaf Gold Cup last month has caused much concern. This week Zico, a flamboyant midfielder at the 1982 World Cup, was appointed as technical co-ordinator to work with Zagallo - who held a similar post alongside the coach, Carlos Alberto Parreira, at USA 94.
"I am not concerned about whether I will be above Zagallo or under him," Zico said.
