LEGAL & GENERAL is introducing terminal illness benefit for people who take out its with-profits endowment policies. Instead of waiting to pay out on the death of the policyholder, L&G will make a full accelerated payment for people with a terminal illness, including Aids, who are expected to die within 12 months. There is no extra payment for the cover.
