  • Newcastle United secured a commanding 4-0 victory against Union Saint-Gilloise in their Champions League group stage fixture.
  • Nick Woltemade opened the scoring with a 17th-minute flick, silencing critics of his transfer fee.
  • Anthony Gordon netted two penalties, one either side of half-time, to further extend Newcastle's lead.
  • Harvey Barnes added a late fourth goal, with Sandro Tonali and Anthony Elanga also delivering standout performances.
  • This win marked Newcastle's first points in the competition and their first away victory in the Champions League since February 2003.
