Cheltenham Festival makes major changes to lure punters back in

Police tackle antisocial behaviour during Cheltenham Festival week
  • Cheltenham Festival has announced a reduction in pint prices and daily capacity for its March Festival in an effort to attract more spectators.
  • The price of a pint of Guinness will be lowered by 30p to £7.50, returning to 2022 levels, and daily attendance capacity will be cut from 68,500 to 66,000.
  • These changes aim to reverse a steady decline in attendance, which has been attributed to rising costs for tickets, travel, accommodation, and food and drink.
  • Further improvements include the removal of drinks restrictions, refurbished bars, a new covered food court, the introduction of prosecco, and an enhanced PA system.
  • The second day of the Festival will revert to its traditional name, 'Ladies' Day', moving away from 'Style Wednesday', as part of the customer experience enhancements.
