Major online broadcaster pens deal with MAGA news channel
- One America News (OAN) faced significant challenges after the 2020 election, being dropped by major cable and satellite providers due to its promotion of baseless voter fraud theories.
- Herring Networks, OAN's parent company, has announced a multi-year deal with YouTube TV to carry both One America News and A Wealth of Entertainment (AWE).
- Scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, this agreement will extend OAN's reach to YouTube TV's 9.4 million subscribers.
- The deal marks a resurgence for OAN, which was previously suspended and demonetised by YouTube in 2020 for violating its COVID-19 misinformation policy but has since been readmitted.
- OAN has also settled most of its defamation lawsuits stemming from its 2020 election claims and has seen increased visibility with the current administration.
