- Stage 3 trials for Orforglipron showed an average weight reduction of 10.5 per cent, comparable to the effectiveness of Mounjaro injections.
- Eli Lilly's international president, Patrik Jonsson, said that the UK will be one of the first countries to receive the pill, subject to regulatory approval, potentially by 2026.
- The company also envisions a future 'once-and-done' treatment for obesity, a single shot that could offer a permanent cure.
