Ukraine sends experts as ‘drone wall’ plans intensify
Zelensky warns Europe of drone attacks after 'treacherous' Ukraine strikes
Ukraine is deploying military experts to Denmark to share its extensive experience in combating Russian drones, as announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This move supports a broader European initiative to construct a “drone wall” along borders with Russia and Ukraine, addressing Europe's lagging drone defence capabilities.
Denmark has recently reported drone sightings near military installations, and Poland has also sought Ukrainian expertise following Russian drone incursions into its airspace.
NATO is increasing aerial surveillance in the Baltic Sea due to concerns over Russian airspace violations, with France, Germany, and Sweden bolstering Denmark's air defences.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticised the proposed “drone wall”, stating that “history shows that building walls is always bad” and advocating for dialogue instead.
