Trump held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska regarding the war in Ukraine, with both sides reporting "great progress" but no immediate peace plan.
Following the summit, Trump had a 90-minute call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and is set to meet him at the White House on Monday.
Trump has indicated a preference for a "Peace Agreement" over a mere ceasefire to conclude the conflict.
Reports suggest Putin proposed Ukraine cede the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions in exchange for a ceasefire elsewhere and a pledge against future attacks, a proposition Trump conveyed to Zelensky and European leaders.
Ukrainian leaders have voiced apprehension about pursuing a peace deal before a ceasefire, fearing it could result in unfavourable concessions.
