Northern Lights to be seen from UK again after stunning displays

The Northern Lights illuminated skies across parts of the UK and Ireland overnight on Monday, with a chance of reappearing on Tuesday.
This spectacular display was triggered by a fast-moving coronal mass ejection (CME) that erupted from the Sun, reaching Earth between Monday and early Tuesday.
Stargazers reported sightings across north-east Scotland, northern England, and the Midlands, with the lights reaching as far south as West Cork in Ireland.
The Met Office had indicated the resulting geomagnetic activity could extend the aurora's visibility further south than usual, provided dark, clear skies.
Viewing conditions are expected to worsen on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with a waxing gibbous moon and light pollution potentially disrupting clear views.
