Travel and flooding warning issued as heavy rain hits UK

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain covering the South West and parts of Wales for Wednesday.
Heavy rain is expected from the early hours until 2pm, potentially causing travel disruption and flooding.
Forecasters predict widespread rainfall of 20-30mm, with some areas possibly seeing 40-60mm within a 6-9 hour period.
Coastal gales are likely along English Channel coasts, and thunderstorms are also forecast for some areas.
The public is advised to plan journeys ahead and prepare for potential flooding with a flood plan and emergency kit.
