What we know about the London bus strike this weekend
Londoners react to ‘disgraceful’ travel chaos as city hit by week of Tube strikes
The Unite union has largely called off a planned London bus strike that was scheduled to begin on Friday, 12 September, and continue through the weekend.
The industrial action involved drivers, engineers, and controllers from London United and London Transit, who were disputing pay and conditions.
The decision to call off the strike followed the majority of London United staff accepting an "above-inflation" pay offer from First Bus, the operators' parent company.
Ongoing negotiations with London Transit mean some industrial action could still proceed on specific routes if an agreement is not reached.
Transport for London confirmed that services operated by First Bus would run as normal, following a week of significant disruption from Tube strikes.
