Leopard sharks caught on camera mating in ‘threesome’
Three Leopard Sharks have been captured on film mating in the wild for the first time
Three leopard sharks have been filmed mating in a "threesome" for the first time.
Dr Hugo Lassauce, a researcher from the University of the Sunshine Coast, recorded the interaction whilst snorkelling off the coast of Nouméa, New Caledonia.
The main event, involving one female and two males, was completed in just 110 seconds.
Witnessing and filming this mating behaviour in an endangered species is considered a rare and exciting discovery.
