Leopard sharks caught on camera mating in ‘threesome’

Three Leopard Sharks have been captured on film mating in the wild for the first time
  • Three leopard sharks have been filmed mating in a "threesome" for the first time.
  • Dr Hugo Lassauce, a researcher from the University of the Sunshine Coast, recorded the interaction whilst snorkelling off the coast of Nouméa, New Caledonia.
  • The main event, involving one female and two males, was completed in just 110 seconds.
  • Witnessing and filming this mating behaviour in an endangered species is considered a rare and exciting discovery.
