Children’s photos and names ‘stolen’ in nursery cyber hack

Jaguar Land Rover production ‘severely disrupted’ by cyberattack
  • Cyberhackers, identifying as Radiant, reportedly stole sensitive information from the Kido nursery chain, affecting approximately 8,000 children.
  • The stolen data includes children's pictures, names, addresses, safeguarding notes, and details of their parents and carers.
  • Radiant has published some of the stolen data, including profiles and pictures of 10 children, on their darknet website and is demanding a ransom.
  • The Metropolitan Police's Cyber Crime Unit is investigating the ransomware attack, which was referred to them on Thursday, with no arrests made yet.
  • A parent expressed distress over the children being “completely innocent victims”, while the National Cyber Security Centre condemned the act as “particularly egregious.”
