  • Police officers from the Aurora Illinois Police Department rescued a four-year-old Staffordshire Terrier named Oakley from a burning house.
  • Footage released on Monday, 15 September, showed officers kicking down the door to enter the smoke-filled property.
  • Oakley, a rescue dog, was found in a room with a pet gate and initially tried to evade capture before being calmed and leashed.
  • Both the dog and the officer involved in the rescue escaped the blaze unharmed, with no other injuries reported.
