Corbyn launches scathing attack on Starmer as new party aims to build momentum
Corbyn describes 890 arrested at Palestine Action rally as 'people of principle and courage'
Jeremy Corbyn has launched a fierce attack on Keir Starmer's government, accusing it of 'balancing the books off the backs of the poor' and 'inflicting suffering at home and enabling genocide abroad'.
Writing for The Independent, Corbyn criticised Starmer's economic policies, handling of the Middle East crisis, and welfare reforms, including the two-child benefit cap.
The independent MP announced his new left-wing political movement will hold its founding conference in November, with delegates chosen by lottery.
Corbyn's party, currently named 'Your Party', will hold a vote on its official name in October, aiming to offer a new political choice.
He stated the new movement seeks to challenge the rich and powerful, promote a more equal and sustainable world, and mobilise support from social movements, trade unions, and communities.
